Apple to set $9.99 price for eBook bestsellers
If you have an Amazon Kindle a $9.99 bestselling eBook will be familiar. Many people have been curious about the prices in the iBook Store that will be released with the iPad. As you can see in the appadvice.com picture the books are priced at $9.99. What makes this better than the Amazon Kindle's prices (for publishers) apple shares a higher ratio of the sale with publishers. At 50:50 at Amazon and 70:30 for Apple this will surely lure publishers to Apple's side of the eBook market.

This move is very significant as in a few years time I may be writing from my jacket sleeve. Actually correct that, I may have gloves that can type in the air. We really can't have a say to what Apple may due as they can be very unpredictable. Leave a comment on your ideas.

Cool! A PSP Phone
How cool is this? According to the Wall Street Journal Sony is ready to step into the same ring as Apple with a PSP phone and a line of products that is said to rival the iTunes Store and the iPod line. The Sony Online Store that is due to launch later this month will be the backbone for this new line of products. This also includes a hybrid device that "blurs distinctions among a netbook, an e-reader and a PlayStation Portable, or PSP". This device seems to fill the boots of the iPad as it seems to be what we expected from the iPad. Above is a sketch that gives an idea of what we can expect from the phone in the future. Apple should beware as Sony has a pretty large PSN who will most likely get these products.

Internet Explorer 6 is Dead!
It's not quite over yet, but on March 1st the modern day pest we call IE6 will be ousted, finally. It has been around for nine years with many users, who have not modernized, still using it. This may hurt some peoples lives dramatically but for others, like me, it is a great thing. You are all invited to a funeral hosted by Alten Design Group to mourn the death of the loved and hated browser. You can RSVP at http://ie6funeral.com/. Oh yeah, its in Denver, Colorado.
I am mainly happy because some of the computers at my school use IE6 and it is such a pain. There are already lots of websites that cannot be viewed on IE6 due to the age of the browser. I personally recommend people who use it switch to another browser like Google Chrome or Firefox (you don't have to listen to me). You can comment below on whether your sad to lose your long time internet companion or are you happy to see the outdated browser go.
P.S. You'll get over it (sooner than you think).

YouTube HTML5
Over the last few weeks I have used, and have grown to like, the new HTML5 Beta. After asking the billions of users of YouTube to give them product ideas, the most wanted was HTML5. Being the great company Google is they responded immediately with the new HTML5 Beta. The HTML5 is an alternative for Flash and it is much faster. HTML5 only works on Google Chrome, Safari and if you have Internet Explorer you can download a framework from Google. Using Flash to watch videos on YouTube would generally take a few minutes to load but now there is a very small delay and the video does not have to buffer. Would I recommend it? A definite Yes.
