HTC today reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2012, announcing a net profit of only $137 million, which represents a significant 79% loss year-over-year. The Taiwanese manufacturer reported revenues of $2.4 billion, down 48% year-over-year. HTC’s struggles clearly continued into the third quarter of this year, and with the release of the iPhone 5 and strong sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III, things are not looking good for the company in the holiday quarter of this year either.
