Analyst says some retail stores haven’t sold BlackBerry in over a month

According toб═AllThingsD,б═Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette has stated that some carriers’ retail locations have not sold a Research in Motion (RIM) BlackBerry smartphone in over one month, highlighting the current struggles of the Canada-based company.

In terms of sell-through, we believe that current run rates are roughly one-fifth of those we saw in the United States just eight months ago. Further, we found a meaningful number of carrier retail locations which had not sold a single BlackBerry in over a month.

A likely reason for the lack of BlackBerry smartphone sales is a result of RIM delaying the launch of BlackBerry 10, its next-generation mobile operating system that should improve the user experience of the aging platform significantly.
