Amazon today unveiled the Kindle Fire HD, an updated version of the original Kindle Fire tablet. The Kindle Fire HD will be available in two variations: a 7-inch model and an 8.9-inch model. The tablet also sports Texas Instruments OMAP 4, dual stereo speakers, and dual Wi-Fi antennas for improved reception. The Kindle Fire HD also features Bluetooth connectivity, an HD front-facing camera and HDMI out support.
The base model of the tablet has 16 GB of onboard storage. The 7-inch device will start at $199, while the 8.9-inch will start at $299.
Amazon also unveiled a 4G LTE version of the Kindle Fire HD, which has 32 GB of storage for $499.
