According to a report from Reuters, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh has denied Samsung's request to appeal the injunction that bans the sale of the Galaxy Tab in the United States. The injunction went into place last week following the judge's decision that the Galaxy Tab infringes on an Apple-owned patent. Samsung was hoping that the ban would be lifted at least temporarily so that units could be sold.

When faced with similar situations in the past, Samsung has modified the Galaxy Tab to avoid the infringing patent, but it's unclear whether this case will end with the same resolution.
