Samsung announced yesterday that it has sold over 50 million units of the Galaxy I and Galaxy II smartphones combined. The sales number is worldwide units sold, and includes 24 million units of the original Galaxy S and 28 million of the Galaxy S II. The phones launched in June of 2010 and the Spring of last year, respectively.

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S III, the next-generation smartphone from the company.
