Today, Motorola announced via its support forums which smartphones will be receiving the Android OS 4.0 (a.k.a. "Ice Cream Sandwich") update, and which ones won't. Most notably, Motorola plans to roll out the update to the following devices in the second quarter of this year:
- Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi only in countries other than U.S.
- Motorola RAZR
The company also revealed that the DROID 4, DROID BIONIC, DROID RAZR, DROID RAZR MAXX, DROID XYBOARD 8.2, and DROID XYBOARD 10.1 will also be receiving the update, but no timeframe was given. These phones are currently in the "evaluation and planning" stage of the update.
