According to a report from iMore, Apple will be holding a special press event on March 7, 2012 to announce the next-generation iPad, which has been dubbed "iPad 3" by the media. The website also claims that the iPad will sport a high-resolution 2048 x 1536 "Retina" display, as well as a quad-core Apple A6 processor and "possibly" 4G LTE network support.

At this time, it's unclear exactly that the design of the iPad 3 will look like, but it's expected to be similar to the current-generation iPad 2.
