Apple's stock (trading under the symbol "AAPL") finished trading today, February 13, 2012, at a new all-time high. The company's stock is now trading at $502.60, ending the day up more than nine (9) points. This news comes just a few weeks after Apple reported significantly higher than expected financial earnings for the first fiscal quarter of 2012 - the stock has been souring up since.
Apple now controls a $468.61 billion market cap, making it the most valuable public company in the world. Exxon Mobile, which held the spot for a number of years, only has a $399.64 billion market cap.
