According to AllThingsD, Jon Rubinstein, former senior VP of Apple's iPod division and Palm CEO, has left Hewlett Packard (HP) today. The report says that Rubinstein has left HP following his 12-24 month commitment to the company following its acquisition of Palm in 2010. "Jon has fulfilled his commitment and we wish him well," said an HP spokeswoman.
Rubinstein is best known for helping develop the original iPod back in 2001. He left Apple in 2006 to work for Palm, where he became CEO in 2007. Following HP's acquisition of Palm in 2010, Rubinstein joined the company as an executive overlooking the now axed webOS division.
