Earlier today at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, LG officially unveiled the world's largest OLED (organic light emitting diode) television, measuring in at 55 inches. The company says that "this new line of HDTVs brings the future of TV into the home today with virtually bezel-less designs, an upgraded LG Smart TV platform with a redesigned Magic Remote and touch-screen plasma." The OLED TV is a mere 4 millimeters thin and boasts a bezel that is just about 5 mm.
LG is also touting the TV's ability to display eye-popping colors and effects with "precise color, absolute contrast and blazing clarity."
There's no word on availability or pricing at this time. The company also unveiled a number of other HDTVs for its 2012 lineup.
