Earlier today, YouTube announced that it has flipped the switch on a redesign it has been testing over the past couple of weeks for every visitor of the video sharing website. The redesign features a new homepage that is more customizable and sports social networking integration, customizable channels, and more.
The new YouTube homepage will you to create "your own, personal, customizable YouTube Channel line-up," browse recommended channels, customize your homepage feeds and link your YouTube account with a Google+ or Facebook account for sharing. YouTube has also begun testing a new channel design for users of the service, one that allows publishers to customize the look of their page. The feature is currently opt-in and more information is available in YouTube's help center.
The post ends with YouTube stating that a large majority of the redesign is based off of Cosmic Panda, a new interface that testing began on this summer.
