Microsoft today announced that, during the week of Black Friday this year, the Xbox 360 had its best week in terms of sales in its seven year history. The company announced that 960,000 Xbox 360 units were sold during the week, with 800,000 being sold in a period of 24 hours. In addition, Microsoft revealed that more than 750,000 Kinect add-on units were sold during the same time period. 

Microsoft ended the announcement by confirming the December 6 release date of a new Xbox Dashboard, which sports a completely new design and several new features, to customers.
