HTC’s Chief Innovation Officer leaves company “for personal reasons”

According to BGR, Taiwan-based manufacturer HTC has lost its Chief Innovation Officer,б═Horace Luke, as of April 30, 2011. HTC said in a statement to BGR:

Horace Luke, HTCБ─≥s chief innovation officer, has left HTC for personal reasons. Horace nurtured a culture of innovation at HTC and instilled a strong consumer design-focus among our employees who continue to raise the bar in designing products that capture our customersБ─≥ imagination

We are grateful for HoraceБ─≥s many contributions to HTC and wish him well in his future endeavors.б═Scott Croyle, HTCБ─≥s vice president of design, has taken over HoraceБ─≥s responsibilities and will continue a tradition of design innovation at HTC.

Luke first joined HTC back in November 2006 after leaving his job as Creative Directorб═at Microsoft. When Luke first joined the company, HTC was only beginning to make a major appearance on the mobile market.б═

There is no word on his replacement at this time.б═
