Yesterday, Facebook announced "Facebook for Every Phone." Facebook for Every Phone allows anyone with a phone that supports Java to access the social network and its basic functions, such as updating statuses and uploading photos.

The service, which adds Facebook support to over 2,500 phones, also has support for the News Feed and Inbox. To download the app, simply visit m.facebook.com and scroll to the bottom or visit this link directly: d.facebook.com/install. In addition, GetJar, Appia, and Mobile Weaver have the app available for download.

Facebook also worked with carriers around the world to offer 90 days of free data usage on the Facebook app (participating carriers listed below). The app is optimized to use as little data as possible too.
