According to a source who spoke with TechCrunch, Facebook now has roughly 750 million registered users. The world's most popular social network surpassed 500 million users nearly one year ago and has yet to officially announce any new numbers. We expect Facebook to update everyone with new user count totals sometime around 1 billion members, which clearly isn't too far off.
The last number we've heard came from a Goldman Sachs report that claimed Facebook had around 600 million active users; this was early 2011.
When asked, Facebook said it didn't "have anything to announce at this time."
