Samsung today announced the availability of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the WiFi model available June 8 and an LTE (4G) model available later this summer.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi model will be available June 8 in a very limited quantity at the Best Buy Union Square retail store in New York City. Customers can also pre-order the device online and in-store at other Best Buy locations beginning that day. All WiFi models will be available June 17 at Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, Amazon, Micro Center, Tiger Direct and Newegg. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi prices start at $499 for 16 GB and $599 for 32 GB.

A LTE model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be ready for pre-order with Verizon beginning June 8, availability is expected in the "coming weeks." Verizon will offer the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with LTE in two models, $529.99 for 16 GB and $629.99 for 32 GB, both prices include a two-year data contract.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 1GHz duel-core processor, front and rear facing cameras, full Adobe Flash Player compatibility and up to nine hours of battery each charge. The tablet will ship with Android 3.1 Honeycomb.
