One thing is for certain: nobody knows when the next-generation iPhone will be hitting the hands of customers, with conflicting reports of this summer, this fall, and early next year. Something that we thought we were relatively sure about is that the next iPhone, which we’re calling the iPhone 5, will be a relatively minor update in regards to the iPhone 4.
However, a report out of DigiTimes today claims that the iPhone 5 will actually feature a much more curved design than the current iPhone 4, which only makes sense considering the curved design of the fourth-generation iPod touch and fifth-generation iPod nano. The report even claims that the display itself will be curved on the next iPhone.
The report also claims that Apple has purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines to make the glass themselves since makers of the glass are reluctant to develop a curved design.
What do you think? Would you be interested in something like this on an iPhone?
