BusinessWeek is reporting on a new research note from Yuanta Securities Co. that claims the Apple iPad 2 may be delayed until June, instead of the initially planned April release. The company notes that the most likely reason for the delay in availability of the iPad 2 is “production bottlenecks” at Apple's manufacturing facilities, following last-minute design changes made to the device.

There's a few things to note here: this is the first time Yuanta Securities Co. has popped up in Apple-related rumors. Next, a June release would coincide with the World Wide Developers Conference, where Apple will likely announce the next-generation iPhone. Finally, all other rumors point to a quarter one 2011 launch, with an announcement expected any week now.

With that said, still keep this in mind if you're thinking about purchasing an iPad 2.
