Apple today launched an official Twitter account for the App Store, providing a way for users to get updates on top apps located in the store.The company's first tweet via the App Store account was: "Welcome to App Store on Twitter! Follow us to discover new apps, get exclusive offers, and share with friends. #appstore." Another tweet was sent out shortly after the first, promoting the Nike Training Club application for iOS.

The App Store Twitter account currently has 32,509 followers, but the numbers seems to be growing fast. The account has also been verified by Twitter to be the real deal.
