Google held a press conference earlier today where they announced several new features for Google search. The first is instant search, which refreshes the search results as you type in new keywords.
The next feature announced is AJAX page loading. This allows users to click page numbers at the bottom of the search results page and not have the page refresh every single time.
Google also tweaked the search results page just a little bit, so look out for that too.
The new features are still being rolled out to users around the globe, so if you're not seeing them right now, give it some time.
