9to5Mac is noting Apple's iPad shipping times have reached 24 hours for the first time since the device launched in early April. Shipping times for the iPad had been slowly improving over the past few weeks, reaching a peak of 7-10 days, then 3-5 days, and up until two days ago, it showed 1-3 business days.

Since the iPad launched in early April, demand for the device was over what Apple predicted, which is why the company has so many difficulties with keeping up with the demand.

In the first 28 days of availability, Apple sold one million iPads. In the first 60 days, Apple sold two million iPads. Finally, Apple sold three million iPads in the first 80 days of availability, exceeding the company's expectations by a high margin.
