HBO content streaming coming to the iPad

NewTeeVee is reporting today that HBO co-president Eric Kessler has stated in an interview that his company is planning on bringing the popular HBO Go streaming TV service to Apple’s iPad within the next six months.

The interview was regarding the rivalry between HBO and Netflix and Kessler stated that HBO Go will be available on “all major cable systems, on Apple Inc.’s iPad, on mobile devices and elsewhere” at no extra cost toб═existingб═subscribers.

HBO Go is an online website that allows you to stream content found on the premium HBO channels on your computer, free with your subscription.

It’s unclear whether all content will be available on the iPad, or only select titles.

Netflix released an iPad app for streaming content back in early April, and have confirmed that they are working on a similar app for the iPhone and iPod touch.
