Engadget is reporting that they have been told that the Motorola Droid 2 will be released on August 23rd, which is the date that has been rumored for quite some time now. Also, it appears the phone will ship with a 8GB microSD card.
As far as pricing goes, it appears with a contract, the phone will be the standard $199. If you don't want to sign a contract, the Droid 2 will cost you $599.
The Motorola Droid 2 is the next phone in the Droid family, following the Original Droid, the HTC Droid Incredible and the Motorola Droid X.
