We showed you how to enable Safari 5 extensions, but now, which extensions should you download? It's been almost a month since the release of Safari 5, meaning developers have had time to get their extensions out and here's a list of the best/most useful ones.
1. Safari Adblock - Similar to Google Chrome Adblock, Safari Adblock does exactly what the name suggests - it blocks all advertisements on a webpage, improving page appearance and load times.
2. Download from YouTube - Want to be able to download YouTube videos by the click of a button? Here's the plugin to do it.
3. Safari140 - This extension allows users to update their Twitter status directly from their Safari web browser. It also features automatic URL shortening.
4. Gmail Checker - Shows you how many unread emails you have in your Gmail account and lets you go to your mailbox directly.
5. Goo.gl URL Shortener - This extension puts a little button next to your address bar and when you click it, generates a Goo.gl URL for the current webpage (good for sharing links!)
6. Better Google Reader - This extension will add several customizable features to Google Reader.
7. Optimize Legibility - This extension will add a rule to the CSS of any webpage, text-rendering:optimizeLegibility, and this will make text easier to read on the page.
