You might have seen people with symbols (a popular one is an Apple logo) in their folder names on their iOS 4 device. You might ask how did they get that?
It's actually pretty simple. With a little emailing and copying and pasting, you can get symbols in your folder names. Here's how to do it.
Step 1: First, find the symbol you want to use. If you're looking for an Apple logo, use the one below:
Step 2: Once you found your symbol, copy it. If you're on a computer doing this, you have to copy it, email it to yourself and open the email up on your iDevice. If you're doing this directly on an iDevice, you just have to copy the symbol.
Step 3: Either way you choose, somehow get the symbol on your iDevice and copy it.
Step 4: Once you copied it, go to your home screen. Then, hold down an icon (icons should start jiggling).
Step 5: Open a folder. At the top, you should see that you can now edit the name of the folder. Hold down your finger in the editing area and once a "magnifier" shows up, let go. Then, a menu should show up. Select Paste.
Step 6: You should notice your symbol has made its way into the name of the folder. Press the home button once to stop editing.
That's it! You should now have a symbol in your folder's name! Enjoy!
