According to Boy Genius Report, Verizon Wireless has dropped the price of the Microsoft Kin, Microsoft's attempt of a social networking based phone, to $29.99 for the Kin One and $49.99 for the Kin Two. Also, Verizon is planning on offering a buy one Kin, get another phone of equal or lesser price for free promotion to help boost sales of the device. This claim comes just days after BusinessInsider reported that Microsoft has only sold 500 Kin's since it launched last month.
Meanwhile Verizon has also dropped the prices of the following phones:
- Motorola Droid X to $199.99
- LG enV Touch to $49.99
- Blackberry Storm II to $149.99
- Nokia Twist to $49.99
The new prices are in effect starting today, June 28th, 2010.
