Smooth Scrolling is a feature that most web browsers and even operating systems come with nowadays. But what is it? Smooth Scrolling is allows the scrolling of a large piece of content to be more fluid and instead of the user seeing large jumps in their scrolling, it can be more continuous and have a better speed rate. However, Google Chrome, a popular web browser that many people are beginning to switch to, does not have this feature included. Never fear! We’re hear to change that!
NOTE: This will work on both Windows and Mac OS X versions of Google Chrome that support extensions.
Step 1: Install this extension (SmoothScroll, free)
Step 2: Make sure the extension is enabled and close Google Chrome. Relaunch it.
Step 3: If you would like to change the settings of the extension (you probably will since scrolling will be very fast), go to: Window>Extensions and click the Options link under SmoothScroll
- The speed of scrolling is controlled by the Stride size per scroll in pixel option. The lower the number, the slower the scrolling is.
That’s it. Just like that you have enabled Smooth Scrolling on Google Chrome. See the difference?
