iPhone 4 pre-orders change to a ‘Prepared for Shipment’ status

While this might not seem like a big deal, it’s just another sign that we are getting closer to the public release of Apple’s iPhone 4. MacRumors is noting that several members in their forums have begun claiming that their shipping status for their iPhone 4 has changed from “Not Shipped” to “Prepared for Shipment.” Apple will most likely ship the device earlier than June 24th (its release date), but ask the shipper to hold it at the warehouse until the official release date, due to the large number of pre-orders.

Also, AT&T customers who pre-ordered through them are reporting that they have begun seeing credit card charges for the device.

iPhone 4 will be released to the public on June 24th, and evidence shows that the white iPhone 4 will not be available at this date.
