Chrome to Phone without Froyo 2.2, How to install it

Tutorials

I recently came across an app called “LinkPush”, and let me tell you. I think your going to like it!

One of the major features of Android 2.2 (FroYo) is the Chrome to Phone feature. If your not using a rooted Nexus One, you don’t have access to this yet, but LinkPush fixes that for phones that won’t support Android 2.2, or have not received it yet.

First, you need to be using Google Chrome. To download Google Chrome you can visit this link. (If you are using a Mac, visit this site)

Second, you need to download the Google Chrome Extension from this site

Third, you need to visit the Android Marketplace on your phone and search for LinkPush, then download it.

Fourth, you need to find the LinkPush button on your browser. You can see where it would be located below. When you see it, click it, and sign into your GMail account. (You need to sign in with the one you used when you setup your Android Phone) Make sure you click “Stay Signed In”

Fifth, you need to open the LinkPush app on your Android phone. Then sign into your Gmail account on that too.

That’s all for setup

When you want to transfer a page to your phone, click the LinkPush button on your browser, then open up the LinkPush app on your phone, and it will re-direct you too that webpage. If you want to transfer a Map from Google Maps, or directions from Google Maps, you can but directions are not going to work!
