MacRumors is reporting on a leaked Intel processor roadmap from Engadget, which shows that the company is planning on releasing a new Core i7 processor, clocked in at 2.8 GHz with "turbo boost" and up to 3.46 GHz, this fall. The processor is identified as "Core i7-640M."
Apple updated the MacBook Pro line earlier this year to sport Intel's Core i5 and i7 mobile processors, which seem to have increased speed significantly on the machines.
