A cellular card that can get up to 1.8 Mpbs uplink and 3.1 Mpbs downlink speeds. We have decided to our own tests on the HTC Droid Incredible Internet speeds and here is what we came up with:
HTC Droid Incredible Browser Speed with 3G data connection:
Using Verizon Wireless' 3G data connection, the HTC Droid Incredible loaded the mobile version homepage of It's All Tech in 3.4 seconds. Using the same setup, the phone loaded the desktop version homepage of YouTube in 9.6 seconds (with full flash advertisements and content). Again using the same setup, the Droid Incredible loaded the mobile version homepage of CNN in 7.2 seconds. Finally, using the same setup, the phone loaded the mobile version homepage of The New York Times in 10.7 seconds. Please note that these times may vary depending on your location and signal strength.
HTC Droid Incredible Browser Speed with Wi-Fi connection:
Using a 802.11n wireless network, the HTC Droid Incredible loaded the mobile version homepage of It's All Tech in 2.9 seconds. Using the same setup, the phone loaded the desktop version homepage of YouTube in 5.6 seconds (with full flash advertisements and content). Again using the same setup, the Droid Incredible loaded the mobile version homepage of CNN in 3.3 seconds. Finally, using the same setup, the phone loaded the mobile version homepage of The New York Times in 2.3 seconds. Please note that these times may vary depending on your signal strength.
HTC Droid Incredible Browser Speed with 3G data connection versus iPod touch (2nd Generation) with Wi-Fi connection:
In the next series of tests, we decided to put the power of the HTC Droid Incredible's 3G connection against the 2nd Generation iPod touch Wi-Fi connection. The HTC Droid Incredible is on the right and the iPod touch is on the left. Take a look at the video below:

How to fix an issue where Android OS phones will not vibrate when receiving a text message
We recently unboxed the HTC Droid Incredible for Verizon Wireless. Within 24 hours, we already had a minor issue with the device. When the phone is set on the Vibrate sound profile, when receiving a text message, the phone will not vibrate to notify you. However, when receiving a call, the phone will vibrate. We spent about an hour on Verizon Tech Support, checking many different options, but nothing worked. Very Important Note: Following the steps below will erase all data on the HTC Droid Incredible, including contacts, emails, applications, settings and pictures. You should always have a backup if something goes wrong!
Here's a way to fix the issue:
Step 1: Turn the power off by holding down the power button and pressing "Power off"
Step 2: Hold the Volume button down
Step 3: Hold the Power button until the display turns on
Step 4: You should see a screen that displays the following options: Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
Step 5: Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume down button
Step 6: Press and release the Power button to select the option
Step 7: Confirm that you would like to completely erase the data on the phone by clicking the Volume up button for YES and Volume down button for NO
You should notice that the device will restart by itself with a fresh copy of Android OS on it. The issue should now be resolved. Please note that hard resetting the device may also fix other miscellaneous problems.

ASUS announces Eee Pad, Windows 7 tablet

Engadget is reporting that ASUS has announced the Eee Pad tablet computer line at Computex 2010 in Taipei. The Eee Pad gets its name from the company's netbook line. The Eee Pad will have two different versions.
The EP121 will sport a 12" screen, Core 2 Duo CULV processor, Windows 7 OS, and claims 10 hours of battery life. The other version of the Eee Pad is the EP101TC, which will have a 10 inch screen and Windows Embedded Compact 7. The EP121 will feature the ability for a "hybrid keyboard/docking station," which allows for the traditional notebook-style keyboard. While it has not officially been announced yet, it is expected that both devices will have a capacitive touch screen. The price window of both devices is somewhere between $399 and $499.
The devices are both still early prototypes, but Engadget has posted a video (at end of post) of both devices showing the idea of them. The release is slated to be sometime in 2011, so there is still a while to wait until we see these on the market.

The iPed sports a less-than-spectacular Intel processor, which is far worse than the iPad, and has 128 MB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space. The device obviously runs on Android, but from the video below, you can see that performance is not peak, and could be improved.
It's just a matter of time until Apple sues this company, just saying.

The Associated Press is now reporting that a Pakistani court has lifted the ban on Facebook after the popular social network apologized for the issue and removed the content of the page in question.
However, there are still reports that there are groups that feature Muhammad or Muslims as a topic that have not been removed.

Apple: Two million iPads sold in under 60 days
Apple has announced today that, in under 60 days, the company has sold over 2 million iPads to consumers, since the device's launch on April 3rd.
Apple today announced that iPad sales have topped two million in less than 60 days since its launch on April 3. Apple began shipping iPad in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK this past weekend. iPad will be available in nine more countries in July and additional countries later this year.
"Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone."
It took Apple two years to sell 2 million iPods and it took the company 4 months to reach the 2 million milestone for the iPhone.
Apple has continued to deal with shortages of the iPad, due to high demand, but it does seem like they are working on how to resolve these issues.

Woman sues Google after being hit by car on highway
Fortune is reporting that Lauren Rosenberg from Park City, Utah is suing Google today, after she used Google Maps on her Blackberry for walking directions, which involved her walking onto Utah State Route 224 (a.k.a Deer Valley Drive) and got hit by a car.
According to court documents, instead of finding a different route or walking safely away from traffic, she walked into the street and was (surprise!) struck by a car. Now she's suing Google for in excess of $100,000.
Defendant Google, through its "Google Maps" service provided Plaintiff Lauren Rosenberg with walking directions that led her out onto Deer valley Drive, a.k.a. State Route 224, a rural highway with no sidewalks, and a roadway that exhibits motor vehicles traveling at high speeds, that is not reasonably safe for pedestrians.
The Defendant Google expects uses of the walking map site to rely on the accuracy of the walking directions given….
As a direct and proximate cause of Defendant Google's careless, reckless, and negligent providing of unsafe directions, Plaintiff Laren Rosenberg was led onto a dangerous highway, and was thereby stricken by a motor vehicle…
How about some common sense here? C'mon, when was the last time you walked on the highway?

Verizon delays the Droid Incredible again
If your planning on purchasing a HTC Droid Incredible online, you might want to think twice.
Verizon Wireless has once again delayed the HTC Droid Incredible. We learned a few days ago that the reason for the delays is lack of AMOLED screens from Samsung. As of yesterday morning, Verizon was planning to have the phone shipped by June 16th, as of today, they are now planning on June 22nd.

The Droid Incredible quickly came in, and stole the limelight from Verizon's Motorola Droid, and Verizon is quickly becoming a main Android smartphone provider.
They continue to tell us that the delay's are due to it's high demand, but we know it's because of lack of display's. If your looking to purchase a Droid Incredible, might I recommend checking out Best Buy, where you get the phone for the same price as Verizon's online website. The rebates are automatically taken off of the phone when you purchase it!

We have one thing to say about this: glad to know that Adobe is intellectual and are taking this situation like professionals.

Microsoft asked Apple to include Bing Search as one of the search engine’s in iPhone OS 4?
A new report from TechCrunch today seems to claim that Microsoft's Bing search engine will be integrated into iPhone OS 4. The report initially noted that they have received information from a source that stated Apple would completely be removing Google from iPhone OS 4, and replacing it with Bing products.
However, TechCrunch updated their article later into the day today and have said that they have received more information that claims “It’s more complicated than this” and "not to expect Google search to be removed from the iPhone next month."
It also seems that Microsoft explicitly asked Apple to integrate Bing Search into iPhone OS 4, but not the usual way Apple does it. You may not have known this, but, you can actually set Yahoo! as the default search engine in iPhone OS, but to do this, you would have to go into system settings and change it. Microsoft has reportedly said that they don't want this, but they are seeking a more direct and easier way for the user to switch the default search engine.
It has been rumored for months now that Apple is planning to remove Google from the picture in iPhone OS, including Google Maps and other Google services integrated into the iPhone OS, but it now seems Apple will just provide users with more choices.

According to Bloomberg, Amazon will introduce a brand-new version of the company's popular e-Book reader, the Amazon Kindle. It will be thinner, have a sharper contrast, a sport faster page turning. The update will certainly bring the Kindle closer to Apple's iPad, but the Kindle reportedly won't be touchscreen and won't be in color.
There really isn't too much more information available right now, but it does seem like Amazon is working on a new Kindle, and one that brings the e-Book reader closer to the iPad.

This has been a major problem with a lot of current iPhone users, and ones planning to switch.
The name of the plan is "MobileProtect", and it simply an insurance program from Asurion. It is the same thing that most carriers use, with a strange name, and a high price tag. The program with cost $13.99/ month plus another higher deductible. It's going to cost you $99 to replace a 8GB 3G, and $199 for a 32GB 3GS.

Apple accused of trademark infringement over ‘iAd’ name

AppleInsider is reporting that Apple has been accused of trademark infringement over the use of the name "iAd."
Innovate Media Group LLC sued Apple last week, accusing the iPhone maker of two counts of trademark infringement, two counts of unfair competition, and one count of common law injury to business reputation. Innovate Media has alleged that it coined the term "iAds" in 2006, a name it uses for its video delivery technology.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is saying that the company filed for the "iAds" trademark on October 25th, 2007 and it was eventually registered on October 14th, 2008.
Innovate Media has stated that they have contacted both Apple and Quattro Wireless, the mobile advertising company Apple bought to help them develop a mobile ad system.
"Neither Apple nor Quattro Wireless has responded to Innovate Media," the complaint reads. "Instead, Apple has continued to use the infringing mark in commerce, including on its website www.apple.com; on iadtoday.com, a new website dedicated to providing news and information updates on Apple's iAd service, and in connection with its promotional materials for the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference."
Innovate Media's suit contends that Apple's use of the iAd name has done "irreparable harm" to the company, as Innovate owns the trademark for iAds but Apple did not seek to license it before it revealed the name of its product.
Innovate Media has also stated that they have asked the court for Apple to pay for damages the trademark infringement has caused due to confusion. The lawsuit is entitled to a jury trial in the Central District of California, Los Angeles.
Apple will most likely purchase the trademark "iAd" from Innovate Media, similar to what they did with the name "iPad," which was originally owned by Fujitsu.

Apple to sell 700,000+ iPads internationally in June, better than Mac sales
AppleInsider is reporting today that Mike Abramsky from RBC Capital Markets said today, May 28th, the day the Apple iPad launches internationally, that Apple will sell around 600,000 - 700,000 iPads in the month of June. If the prediction is correct, the number of iPad sales could blow out Mac sales, which will be around 500,000 internationally in June.
"Industry contact feedback and previously published surveys point to strong international demand, supported by media reports of long lineups at Apple stores, and strong demand for iPads," Abramsky wrote. "iPads appear to be stocked out already at some stores and resellers, particularly in countries like Japan, Australia, and U.K. Online availability has been further delayed, to a vague 'June,' from June 7 (prior to which was May 28)."
He believes that Apple will sell a total of 8.1 million iPads in the 2010 calendar year, but this could be less because of Apple's struggle with coping for demand of the iPad both in the U.S. and internationally.

Apple to announce ‘iTunes.com’ service, updated Macs at WWDC 2010
AppleInsider is reporting that Kaufman Bros. analyst Shaw Wu believes that the next iPhone that Apple will announce will be entitled "iPhone HD," and will be the companies flagship device. He also believes that Apple will discontinue the iPhone 3G as most customers have upgraded to the iPhone 3GS.
The analyst also claims that Apple will unveil a service called "iTunes.com," which will be a cloud-based iTunes streaming service and will most likely be using Lala Media, which Apple bought, for the service.
AppleInsider also reports that they have received information that Apple will also be updating the Mac Pro and MacBook Air, who are both due for an update at the June 7th WWDC keynote from Apple.
While major design changes are not expected for either computer, major processor jumps and hardware improvements should be coming.
