Just a few days after Apple announced that they had opened up hardware acceleration capabilities to third-party companies, like Adobe, Adobe came out with a new beta Flash Player codenamed "Gala," which brings support for hardware acceleration to the Mac platform.
Gala requires Mac OS X 10.6.3 and obviously a Mac OS X computer. Hopefully this will bring the end of Mac users complaints that Flash Player spins up their fans and makes their computer extremely slow to an end.
We've installed it on our Mac and will use it over the next few days and give it an official view and whether it truly does fix all the issues with Flash and Mac OS X.
