Back in March, Boy Genius Report was leaked multiple screenshots of Microsoft Office for Mac 2011.

Boy Genius Report now has a huge gallery of images showing the new Office for Mac 2011, along with their thoughts on the redesigned user interface and features.

The report mentions the "Ribbon" effect, which was introduced in Office 2007 for Windows, in the new user interface. It better incorporates features, and is much simpler to use compared to the current interface. Other new features include: macros for Excel, toolbox integration with iPhoto, iTunes, Photo Booth and GarageBand.

Also according to the new report, the biggest issue with Office for Mac 2011 is Outlook. They believe that it is the strongest email client on Mac OS X for overall use, but Microsoft did a bad job with the user interface. Outlook will be replacing Microsoft Entourage, the current Microsoft email client for the Mac platform.

It's definitely the best and most powerful email client we’ve ever used on OS X, but after using it for 10 minutes we honestly gave up on it. Why? Because it simply requires more work to get simple tasks done than on the Windows version. It sucks to say it, but given the choice between using the new Outlook for Mac and virtualizing Outlook for Windows, we’d go with the latter any day.
