Research in Motion (RIM) a.k.a BlackBerry, has released their fiscal quarter three results today. They missed their expected revenue, which was set at $4.31 billion, by about $230 million. On the other hand, RIM set a new company record on BlackBerry activations this past fiscal quarter, 4.9 million accounts. This brings the total users amount of BlackBerry users to about 41 million.

Also, the company announced a revenue growth of 35% to $15 billion.

Co-CEO Jim Balsillie siad that the company isĀ "off to a great start in fiscal 2011 and expect strong shipments, revenue, subscriber and earnings growth in Q1."
