SlashGear is reporting that Elan Microelectronics, a Taiwanese company, is suing Apple over a multi-touch patent they filed back in 2003.

This company sued Apple last year regarding the same patent, but did not win the case. The patent in question is No. 7,274,353, which describes the detection of multi-fingers that allows for any subsequent multi-finger applications to be implemented."

The lawsuit will be covering the patent being used from the iPad to the Magic Mouse.
