Microsoft announced that they have sold 90 million copies of Windows 7 already, and are now saying that they are projecting to sell 300 million copies in 2010.

Windows 7 is already the fastest selling operating system, passing Mac OS X Snow Leopard in just two weeks. Windows 7 currently owns 10.2% of the Windows OS market share, but if Microsoft succeeds in selling 30 million copies of their newest OS in 2010, that number could triple.

Many companies are also beginning the switch from Windows XP or Vista to Windows 7, which also helps in the 30 mullion copies.
