According to InfoWorld, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, believes that Bing search will beat Google “someday.” When asked if Microsoft will be number one in search, Ballmer responded:
There’s no good answer to this question. If you say yes you seem like you’re arrogant, and if you say no it looks like you have no faith. So the answer is yes, someday.
There really is no doubt that Google leads the search engine industry, but Ballmer believes they are the best right now because they were the first.
Microsoft joined the competitive search engine market when they retired Windows Live Search and introduced Bing that year.
