Today, I am here to talk about what will soon consume all of tech. news this spring/summer the fourth generation iPhone.

Rumors:

  • It could be in an aluminum "unibody"
  • Screen size could possibly be increased to 4"
  • It might make the trip to Verizon
  • It might gain a webcam allowing it to utilize video chat via ichat
  • Increased RA Space
  • A New 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor
  • Thinner by a few millimeters
  • Increased number of Home Screens

Aluminum Unibody: Similar looks to a MacBook Pro, strong unibody would enhance strength and longevity.

Some possible designs: these are all assumptions...

Probability: 45-55%

A Possible Design For the iPhone 4th Generation

Will At&t lose its exclusive iPhone contract? Will Verizon Step in and take the iPhone under their wing?

I think that At&t will continue to monopolize the iPhone, they have to much invested in it and it dominates a large portion of At&t's marketshare for them to lose it.

Probability: 15-30%

Mobile iChat? One of the largest  Rumors is that the new iPhone will ship with a "front-facing webcam" allowing you to Video chat on you iPhone.

Probability: 35-45%

1 ghz Qualcom Snapdragon Cpu? I think that this is highly probable, considering that all new super phones contain one.

Probability: 85-100%
Overview: In 2007 Steve Jobs and friends gave us the iPhone, saying that other cellphone companies weren't innovating enough. Well come 2010 three years and three iPhones later, it is apple that isn't innovating. HTC, Samsung, Google, even Microsoft has stepped up to the plate to innovate mobile technology. So, considering this, I think that the Fourth Generation iPhone will innovate once again.
