A Twitter phishing attack is spreading quickly through Direct Messages today. The attack is said to try and gain user login information to Twitter. If you receive a message reading “lol, is this you”, and linking to a site called “bzpharma”, do not click the link.

If you do click the link, user login information for the Twitter account that was affected will be sent to spammers and then spammers will use your login information to spam your followers.

If you’re receiving these messages, your account is not affected yet, but if you see "you’re" sending them, make sure to change your Twitter password immediately.

Twitter has reportedly been notified of this attack and are working on eliminating it.
