Last week we reported that the Motorola Droid would be receiving the Android 2.1 update by the end of the week. Well, turns out it didn't happen. Now, Motorola has posted a "Software Upgrade News" chart, giving information about when Android updates are expected to be released for specific devices.

However, it seems like Motorola is staying away from giving direct details about when the Android 2.1 upgrade is going to be available for the Droid, only saying, "The DROID by Motorola over-the=air software upgrade is expected to roll out soon."

While no one really knows what soon is, it will most likely be within the next month.
