According to Reuters, Vic Gundotra, head of mobile engineering for Google, said that Google believes they will remain partners with Apple for a while. Google’s Nexus One and upcoming Chrome OS, along with Apple’s recent purchase of Quattro Wireless have put the two companies under heavy speculation of them separating. The most recent rumor is that Apple might be brining Bing as the default search engine on the iPhone OS. He said:
“Apple is a very close and valuable partner, and we’re very excited about the relationship we have with them today,” Gundotra said. “We have no reason to believe that’s going to change.”
