According to Neowin, Microsoft has confirmed that Office 2010, the next edition of the Microsoft Office suite, has reached the Release Candidate stage. Microsoft has said that they have released a Release Candidate build of Office 2010 to private beta testers.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to Neowin: "Microsoft made a release candidate available to members in the Technology Adoption Program (TAP). This is one of Microsoft's planned milestones in the engineering process; however they do not have plans to make this new code set available broadly."

Office 2010 is reportedly going to be available to the public around June of this year.
